Dear Colleagues,

As a follow up to my May 16 letter announcing that Sergio Gonzalez is moving to Brown University, I am pleased to announce that Donna Arbide, M.B.A. '95, will serve as interim senior vice president for Development and Alumni Relations beginning on August 1, 2017. Donna, who is currently associate vice president for Advancement, will work closely with Sergio to ensure a seamless transition of the University's vital philanthropic and alumni relations efforts.

Donna joined University Advancement in 1986 and is a nationally recognized leader in this field. Working with a talented team, she has led efforts to more than double the number of alumni donors, while significantly increasing alumni donor retention and current-use revenue. She has spearheaded numerous award-winning and innovative programs to establish a vibrant national and international network of alumni and parents. Over the past four years, Donna managed the fundraising efforts of school and college development programs, raising more than $73 million last fiscal year. As chair of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Commission on Alumni Relations, she launched an international initiative that created standards of practice and alumni engagement metrics, and she will chair the 2018 CASE Summit for Leaders in Advancement in New York next summer.

We will be conducting a rigorous national search for a permanent senior vice president who will continue to build on our phenomenal philanthropic achievements. Please join me in thanking Sergio for his service and welcoming Donna to her new leadership role.
